Life In Animal Crossing
365 Writing Challenge
My kiddo has been struggling with writing this year, they struggle to do it, they struggle to have ideas, they struggle with a blank page, they struggle thinking it is never good enough. So with the ushering in of 2021 I created a challenge for both of us.
We have a jar where I write down and fold up writing prompts. We pick one a day and each write for 5–10 minutes on the subject we drew from the jar and then share. Today was only day one, but it has already shown me something. My kiddo is a very linear thinker, I knew this, but that translates to being a very fact based, almost list like writing style. I tend to be much more creative and free in my writing. With permission of the tiny human I am going to share our daily prompts and both of our outcomes here.
Today’s prompt was “you were transported in to your favorite game”. We, like many others during this pandemic have spent a lot of time on Animal Crossing: New Horizions. So it should not come as a shock that we both somehow, unbeknownst to each other chose Animal Crossing for our subject.
