Ow! A Shoe
5/356 Writing Project
Day 5! Wooo we’ve made it almost a week, and with school and massive science project that is no small feat. I mean really who assigns 3 tests and a massive science project the first week after break!?!?!
Anyways today the kiddo pulled: A shoe fell from the sky. Why? from our prompt jar.
I have their permission to share, so first up will be kiddos piece:
When I look up I
See a shoe in the blue sky
Oh my, my, my, WHY?
Someone could’ve dropped
from the bridge up above
or it could have flew
All I know is that
even how peculiar it is
a shoe was up there.
They felt very pleased with their haiku, and honestly I am impressed they chose to go that way, and without reminding on syllables!
As for me, I went more long form today.
“Hallelujah it’s raining men” I sing as I walk down the street in the rain. I envision it raining and men and laugh to myself…that would hurt! OW! Wait…what? What just hit me? I look around and find the culprit of my now sore head…a single black wingtip loafer. It’s so early, and no one else is on the streets. There is no one around…
