Tips and tricks for avoiding illness and flares

As summer is fast approaching we are preparing for our annual vacation. We don’t travel during cold and flu season for obvious reasons, and spring break always is so hectic. So for the past 5 years we travel every summer.

Bit is immunocompromised, so life is always a bit of a struggle, but travel becomes it’s own beast. Bit also has 14 food allergies, so travel means we have to contend with that outside of our normal environment too. I won’t bore you with those details today, but you can read a bit more about them on my previous post.

Today we are going to focus on how I get from point A to point B with Bit as safely as possible.

Prep is key

Like…a lot of prep. This starts weeks before travel. We usually end up flying, because Bit wants to go places we cannot realistically drive to.
