No but really
There is this meme going around that at the end of the upcoming Tom Hanks Mr. Rogers movie there will be an end credits clip of Bob Ross. It would welcome in the PBS Cinematic Universe.
This is a cute, and funny thought. I would be funnier if I didn’t want it so badly.
I love the MCU don’t get me wrong. It is brilliant.
However, there is so much hope and promise to a PBS cinematic universe. We know the first Mr. Rogers movie did well. Bob Ross is a thing again. They could easily do a full length feature film on Bob!
Then…Levar Burton and Reading Rainbow. He brought it back, but I’d love more of the back story of Levar, and the Reading Rainbow universe. I want to know more about the butterfly, the book selection process, basically all the things.
We know Sesame Street and Barney did well with movies, but what about more behind the scenes. There is a book out there entitled Street Gang about Sesame Street. Make that in to a movie. Was there a dark side to Barney?
What about a 2 hour feature of Antiques Roadshow? Or Wishbone? Of even The Magic School Bus(though we did get a reboot of that on Netflix)? If we’re going to site here and reboot every Disney movie in to Live Action, and redo Care Bears, She-Ra, My Little Pony and all the…
